Air Dreams
Air Dreams has been involved in the film, design and entertainment industry for over 20 years. The company was created and is owned by Stacy Rhodes. Air Dreams has been instrumental in creating and designing film, television and commercial product for a diverse gallery of talent.
Our clients have included, NBC Television, ABC Television, and CBS. Air Dreams has designed and created award winning opening commercial trailers and promotions for Showtime Television. This project garnered 3 Cable Ace awards for Air Dreams and ‘Celestial Mechanics Inc’. Ron Edwards the key Illustrator and Designer of Air Dreams was involved in the design of the graphics for NBC’s first and historic’ American Music Awards’. This project received an Emmy for Graphics and Design. Also the company has created the conceptual design and storyboard ‘animatics’ for the 1984 ‘Olympics’ hosted by ABC Television, in conjunction with Image West.
In the arena of animation, Air Dreams has been involved with the creation of motion pictures and television commercials with such animation greats as Robert Abel and Associates, Ralph Bakshi, Disney Studios, Kurtz and Friends, Warner Bros.Studios, Steven Spielberg’s,” Amblin’ Entertainment” and Image West. Ron Edwards, Illustrator & Designer of Air Dreams created the conceptual graphics and redesign for the’ modernized ‘ Bronze ‘logo for Warner Bros. We have created and designed for Showtime/Nickelodeon the Animated series “Froggy the Gremlin”.
Additional creative works would include conceptual work, animation, special effects, trailers and presentations for such diverse film projects as Damon Wayans’ “Blankman”, “Star Trek, The Motion Picture”, ”Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”, “Silence of the Lambs”, “Roger Rabbit”, “Dances with Wolves” and “Mask”.
Our recent reorganization expansion includes our long time friend, associate and Designer & Illustrator, Charles White, III. Charles brings a life time of ingenuity, talent and experience to our company.
My Medium
I use many different mediums, such as Traditional Art Mediums and Computers. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. I have been involved in using CGI to create Art for most of the major film, television and production companies in the USA .Each visual idea on a project should manifest in its own individual style.
My Inspiration
My work contains elements of the Classical, Modern Art and Art for Commerce. The design and elegance of the finished Art is of the utmost importance .
